Bereaved families and wounded victims who are in need of financial assistance submit requests through their caseworker to a special OneFamily allocations committee that meets twice a month. The committee is comprised of people with rich experience in various fields, including social work, therapy, accounting, and business management.
The financial assistance provided to families by OneFamily covers a wide range of areas, including regular living expenses (food, rent, medication), tuition grants for academic study and professional training/development, alternative and mainstream therapies, medical expenses (e.g. prosthetic limbs and therapeutic aids) and memorialization of the murdered victims.
OneFamily’s Adopt-A-Family program involves individual and community donors from around the world, and provides tailored financial assistance packages to families whose needs are more complex.
